Here's a few photos from our recent service project. We had lots of fun and we're looking forward to building this relationship in the future.
Fall Community Service
Last spring, members of CSF decided that, instead of a long trip somewhere for a mission trip, they would stay around Morgantown and work here. Thus, MT in MT was born. We partnered with a few local organizations, one of which included The Shack Neighborhood House.
Well, this year, we decided to continue that partnership with The Shack. A couple months ago, Gary and I went met with some people from the Shack about possible projects CSF might be able to do. So far, we’ve helped two different families with various repairs.

A group of CSF folks are fixing, repairing, and investing in our home town of Morgantown! We partnered with The Shack and their Community Repair Partners for a spring break 2013 mission trip in Morgantown. They look for and identify folks with disabilities and other need driven circumstances. This is a great opportunity to love our community and have a sustainable partnership with The Shack. We get to meet folks in the community, hear their stories, meet their children, and paint a powerful picture of Jesus and WVU! The Shack has been vetting needs for 30 years and have been looking for partnerships to help meet these needs. We look forward to this being the start of a long term partnership to bring hope, restoration, and encouragement to Morgantown. Thanks to all the folks that have given up part of break and are today digging out snow to work to invest in what will be a great long term partnership between The Shack and CSF!

Isaiah 58:
6 Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
7 Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
8 Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
